The following are examples of the types of workshops & trainings that are available.
All trainings are customized to meet the needs of your program and faculty.
Strong teams can make or break a business. One negative person can suck all of the positive energy out of a team in the blink of an eye. Fostering a strong team can not only benefit the relationships in the workplace, but can make a direct impact on the success of your business. This workshop will review techniques and strategies that can be implemented with very little cost. They range from simple, everyday items to challenges that may take hours to complete. Every example will be able to be customized to the size of your employee group.
Are you stressed? Maybe too stressed to admit it? Or even realize it? While there is such a thing as “healthy stress”, most of us are so far beyond that point we couldn’t possibly find our way back. This session is focused on two objectives: helping you to identify your stress level and identifying ways to minimize the stressors in your life. Please come prepared with gripes to share, goals to attain, comfy clothes and an open mind. Oh yes, a sense of humor is helpful as well. If you seem to have misplaced yours, we have some you can borrow.
On Friday night, you joined your co-workers for appetizers after work. You all laughed, joked and smiled the way friends do after a long hard week. It’s now Monday morning and your new promotion is in effect. Suddenly those friends are looking at you differently, barely smiling and behaving as though they don’t know you. What’s wrong with them? Or maybe the question is what’s wrong with you? This workshop is designed to help new supervisors look at their relationships with objectivity. Making the transition from peer to supervisor can be done successfully, however it does require work on both sides.
Employees are vital to the operation of your business. Employees are also the most expensive part of your business. In this session we will focus on strategies for meeting staffing needs while also meeting the needs of your budget. The task may seem impossible, but it can be done with objectivity, creativity and a supporting environment.
Group and one-on-one work will be included in this workshop, leaving you with real results that can be implemented immediately. Please bring staffing schedules, staffing needs (regulation requirements, etc.) and any other pertinent data with you.
In addition to workshops & trainings for faculty, business related consulting and training is also available.
